TIFF: Toronto International Film Festivals




Toronto International Film Festival or TIFF was founded in 1976. Since then, it became one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. The festivals is not just well-attended by the adoring movie fans but also by the film celebrities.

Between 300-400 films are screened during the film festival and are played in different cinema venues downtown. Film genres are varied to cater different types of movie fans. A lot of the films that premiered in TIFF have created worldwide buzz. In fact, notable TIFF People's Choice Award winners made it to Oscars' list from Best Picture to Best Director to Best Actress/Actor, etc...

The Toronto International Film Festival is held every September which begins on a Thursday night.
